Changing Diaphragms on 288's

Hello guys,

Wondering how difficult to replace the 288 diaphragms? I am thinking of getting 8 ohm type for my 288C's from GPA. I had experienced with the 80X series. I just want to know if I can do it myself on the larger driver. I am in CA. So shipping to Bill in OKC is not really an economical, and easy option to do.

When changing from old style to new you need the diaphragm and another doomahickey also. Call GPA and ask them, they'll set you up. I sent mine direct to them so they could recharge the mags at the same time.

I think it's called a spider shim.

Be sure you have the positioning pins. It's a real b**ch to do it without them.
